These plastic-steel sheet piles are specifically designed for the renovation and reinforcement of aging river channels and drainage systems. They are tailored to address common issues that arise during the long-term service of traditional slope protection structures, such as corrosion, aging, wall leakage, and slope instability, and are suitable for the complex operating conditions of river channels, including alternating wet and dry periods, water erosion, and acid-base corrosion.
The product features a co-extruded, fully encapsulated composite structure consisting of a modified PVC corrosion-resistant protective outer layer and an internal full-length steel core skeleton. With no exposed metal components, it effectively isolates the water from corrosive media, preventing issues such as steel rust and pitting corrosion. It offers excellent structural durability and stable long-term performance. The sheet piles are equipped with a self-locking tongue-and-groove structure that ensures a tight interlocking joint. Once installed, they form a continuous, monolithic bank protection wall with excellent impermeability and sealing properties. This effectively seals off existing seepage pathways in the slope, prevents soil scouring and erosion, and eliminates potential water leakage hazards in the river channel.
The profiles possess good flexural strength and structural toughness, enabling them to withstand lateral pressure from soil and water as well as water erosion. They accommodate slight settlement on soft soil foundations and are resistant to cracking and deformation. The product utilizes a modular construction method, which is convenient to install and causes minimal soil disturbance. It does not require extensive removal of the existing slope protection. Furthermore, the material is environmentally friendly, stable, and free of harmful leachates, making it suitable for seepage prevention, reinforcement, and renovation projects in various types of aging river channels, irrigation ditches, and urban water systems.
